A young University hockey goaltender has sadly passed away at the young age of 22-years old.

This morning, Monday September 23rd some more tragic news has struck the hockey community as it was announced that 22-year old goaltender for the University of Oregon Ducks has passed away.

Henry Bradford played with the University of Oregon for the past three years. In 2022 -23 and 2023-24 the University of Oregon played in the ACHA, and in 11 games Bradford put up a record of 2-8-0 with a 4.22 GAA and a .855 SV%.

The University of Oregon took to social media to announce the passing of Bradford with a heartbreaking statement.

"We are heartbroken to share that our Senior goaltender, Henry ''Hank'' Bradford unexpectedly passed away on Friday, September 20th 2024. Hank was an incredibly kind and thoughtful man with a contagious laugh and an amazing sense of humor. As great a goalie as he was, Hank was an even better human. He was the perfect example of treating people how you want to be treated, never missing an opportunity to call someone "sir or ma'am."

Hank, your mustache and last second splits will go down in Oregon hockey history forever. We'll miss you #1." The University of Oregon said.

The hockey community can not catch a break recently.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Bradford family and friends. May he Rest in Peace.
