Journalist Evan Axelbank of Fox News Tampa Bay has reported that the Rangers fan who sucker punched a Lightning fan has been arrested by the NYPD.
From his Twitter (@EvanAxelbank):
''CONFIRMING
Perp James Anastasio, 29 of Staten Island, was ARRESTED and charged with 2 counts of assault, 2 counts of disorderly conduct, and 2 counts of harassment
The victim refused medical attention at the scene, so hopefully that means he is OK!!!''
According to the report, the perp, James Anastasio, tried to run away after the sucker punch. When a civilian tried stopping him, he punched them as well, hence the two assault charges.
Now add in a lifetime ban from every NHL arena and call it good!
