The Boston Bruins dropped a really tough game last night to the Carolina Hurricanes.

It was the B's first significant loss since they were brought down by the Vegas Golden Knights on December 14.

There's been some losses in between but those have been much closer games.

Last night's loss made it clear that while the Bruins are part of the contenders of the NHL, they still need to tweak their roster.

One player who's been dangled around the league since his trade request is forwardJake DeBrusk which the B's haven't found a bite for yet.

So what's going on with the DeBrusk trade?

According to Bruins' insiders Jimmy Murphy and Kevin Paul Dupont, while DeBrusk's play has improved recently his trade value hasn't.

Bruins' general manager Don Sweeney made it clear he wants a piece coming back of equal value but right now it's kind of hard considering DeBrusk is still struggling to prove he's a top 6 forward.

The 25 year old has 10 points in 31 games so far this season and will be a restricted free agent after the season.

Do you think DeBrusk will likely play out the season in Boston and be traded during the deadline?
