Defenseman Mason Lohrei was selected in the second round (58th overall) by the Boston Bruins in 2020, and he's quickly becoming one of the best prospects in the system.
After recovering from off-season knee surgery, the defenseman is back to tearing it up in the Big-10 of the NCAA with Ohio State. In 20 games this season, Lohrei has registered 15 assists, after four goals and 25 assists in 31 games last season.
The Bruins Network on Twitter recently shared a video of how dominant the 21-year-old can be. The clip below shows one shift from Lohrei where he takes over play, which leads to a tying goal.
As per @BruinsNetwork:
''Nasty stuff from Mason Lohrei, No. 6 in red, as he catches a pass to keep the game alive, self-passes to himself into a toe-drag deke and eventually helps set up the tying goal for Ohio State. He's starting to return to form again.''
