Scary moment tonight in Pittsburgh, as the Columbus Blue Jackets are visiting the Penguins.
Columbus defenseman Nick Blankenburg saw his life flash before his eyes when a 97.4 mph slap shot from Jeff Petry caught him near, or on the chin.
Thanfully, it appears that it didn't catch him too solid, but any frozen puck in the face is not fun.
You be the judge:
It's reported that Blankenburg was down on the ice for some time, but was able to stay on the Columbus bench.
Hockey players are just a different breed!
