Tuesday night, the game between the Colorado Avalanche and Winnipeg Jets was delayed as things got out of hand in the crowd.

A fight broke out among some very angry fans, and unfortunately, left one fan bleeding badly after falling down the stairs and two others escorted out in handcuffs. (see below):

Scott Billeck of The Winnipeg Sun reported the incident last night:

''Appears a fight broke out in the lower bowl. There is blood all over the boards. A guy laid there for quite some time, looks like he got clocked by a fan in an Avs jersey. Two fans cuffed and escorted out. Fans got the Jets to bring towels over to help the injured guy.''

''Hearing a proper fight occurred between the fans. Guy got decked and fell backward down the stairs, hitting his head on the boards. Would explain the blood, which has yet to be cleaned up.''

However, another Twitter user (@kevinrd13) chimed in, stating the fight was between a security guard and the Colorado fan. Reportedly the Jets' fan was trying to help out:

''No. The 2 avs fans were being escorted due to their drunkenness. Guy head buts the security guard and girlfriend jumps on top of them. The fan tried to help the security guard who was overpowered and the drunk guy pushed him down the stairs head first into boards.''
