The biggest question surrounding the Boston Bruins this summer has been whether or not David Pastrnak will reach an extension agreement with the club.

Early rumours were that Pasta wouldn't sign an extension in Boston because he wanted to know what direction the team is going in before committing to a long-term deal. Especially after veterans Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci signed just one-year deals this summer.

Well, according to the winger himself, that's not entirely true, he discussed whether he expects a deal to get done:

''Yeah, of course...I came here as a kid, and now I'm a man. I'm extremely happy. A lot of great memories. I've said many times, I love it here. It's an honor to wear this jersey.''

He revealed that he loves the city of Boston and considers it his home and that he would certainly consider signing long-term with the Bruins, but also stated that the contract talks are not his primary focus right now.

''We love it here. This is our home. This is where I became a man. Spent unbelieve years here with Rebecca and we are really happy here. But my focus, moving forward, is to be ready for Game 1.''

Pastrnak is entering the final season of a six-year, $40 million deal. As well as coming off four consecutive point-per-game seasons, so if a deal does get done, expect an AAV on his next deal to start with double digits.
