The New York Rangers defeated the Carolina Hurricanes 3-1 in game three of their Eastern Conference Semifinal matchup this afternoon. The game was the first played at Madison Square Garden in the series, which is now 2-1 in favour of the Hurricanes.
The game had some animosity from Hurricanes defenseman Tony DeAngelo and Rangers head coach Gerard Gallant yelling at each other, but most of the rough stuff came at the final buzzer.
Watch it here:
After losing all three games to the Boston Bruins at TD Garden last series, Carolina is now 0-4 on the road in the Stanley Cup playoffs. However, they are 6-0 at home at PNC Arena in Raleigh, something they'll have to figure out if they want to go far in the postseason.
