At the NHL Trade Deadline, Lindholm was acquired from the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for a 2022 first-round pick, second-round picks in 2023 and 2024, Urho Vaakanainen and John Moore. The Boston Bruins, in turn, signed Lindholm to an 8-year, $52 million contract with an AAV of $6.5 million.

After Tuesday morning's practice, Hampus Lindholm was made available to the media to discuss his recent return to the lineup this past weekend and what it's like for him so far in Boston.

Lindholm sustained a lower-body injury on April 5th in a game against the Detroit Red Wings and missed seven games because of it. He returned this past Saturday at home against the New York Rangers but did not travel to Montreal Sunday. Head coach Bruce Cassidy confirmed he would play tonight.

Lindholm was asked what it's like to play with Charlie McAvoy:

"I've played with similar players ... it's fun to play with a creative guy who wants to play, and I think it fits my game well because I like to play that way. Maybe a little more two-way ... and I like to break the puck out and open up space for my partner. I think it's been working well so far."

He was asked about what he thinks of the Boston weather compared to living in Southern California while playing with Anaheim:

"I love it. I come from Sweden, so this is more my kind of climate. I love being in the sun as well, but I'm here to play hockey. I'm not here to get a good tan, so it's more fun to be in something closer to home, and I think it's exciting for me to be on the East Coast too."
