Kirill Kaptain, who is one of the NHL's youngest and brightest stars was hurt this evening as the Minnesota Wild were visiting the Winnipeg Jets.
With his team up 3-2 late in the game, Kaprizov was involved in an odd collision with Jets defender Logan Stanley. It appears that Kaprizov attempts to protect the puck, Stanley (6'7'', 228 lbs) falls over his back, crunching him awkwardly between him and the ice.
The Wild winger skated back to the bench gingerly and left the game at the next whistle.
Check it out:
Kaprizov, 25, is pacing his team once again with 39 goals and 35 assists in 65 games this season. The Wild added an empty netter for a 4-2 win.
