We're all familiar with that old saying, "out of all things bad must come good". In the case of the Boston Bruins, it actually is true!
With Brad Marchand forced to sit out six games due to suspension, Coach Bruce Cassidy had to shuffle his forward lines and the result has been a very effective trio of Charlie Coyle, Craig Smith and Trent Frederic.
They've been so good that even with the Bruins' bad boy set to return on Thursday, Cassidy said after Monday's 5-1 win over League-leading Colorado that he wants to keep the new line in tact. When asked what he was going to do, Cassidy offered the following in reference to the changes that keeping Coyle, Smith and Frederic together would have on the team's other lines when Marchand returns:
Someone's going to be unhappy, someone's gonna have to move around.
Bruins beat writer, Conor Ryan, agrees with the coach and also suggests the other lines should consist of keeping the Bergeron/Marchand together and Hall/Pastrnak duos together:
What do you think the line combos should be when Marchand returns? Have your say in the comments!
