Former Bruins Head Coach Speaks On Being Fired Last Year
During an interview with Jeff Marek on his show, Bruce Cassidy opened up about his experience winning the cup with Vegas and being let go by the Bruins.
Reflecting on his departure, Cassidy stated,
"I don't think Boston ever felt like 'this guy can't coach anymore'; they just wanted a new voice... that's entirely their call."
Last season, the Bruins made the decision to part ways with Cassidy, citing the need for a fresh perspective in the locker room.
Consequently, they brought in head coach Jim Montgomery. While the team enjoyed a remarkable regular season, their playoff journey was cut short with a hard-fought seven-game loss to the Florida Panthers in the first round.
