At the beginning of the season, the Boston Bruins were widely considered the top pick to win the Stanley Cup. This prediction was further bolstered by their status as odds-on favorites, especially following their strong trade deadline acquisitions.

These moves made the Bruins appear unstoppable. However, their season ended prematurely, following the worst collapse in NHL history to the Florida Panthers. Now, the key question is: what will the Bruins' General Manager, Don Sweeney, do with a limited budget and several players seeking new contracts?

Don Sweeney: "Roster changes are coming. We're not going to be the same team."

One player likely on the move is forward Taylor Hall. Despite experiencing a career resurgence in Boston, Hall has two years remaining on his current contract, which pays him $6 million annually.

Tyler Bertuzzi, a pending unrestricted free agent (UFA), is another player who probably won't return. Other players like Derek Forbort and Matt Grzelcyk could also be looking for new teams next season.
