NHLtraderumors reported that the Boston Bruins, and Anaheim Ducks may be in serious talks regarding a trade that would involve sending Jeremy Swayman to the Ducks.
In return the Boston Bruins would receive John Gibson, and a 2025 first-round pick. Well a report that was just made yesterday may have changed those plans.
The Anaheim Ducks reported yesterday that John Gibson underwent emergency surgery to remove his appendix, and he will be out for 3-6 weeks following the surgery.
The 31-year old goaltender has solidified himself as a starting goaltender with the Anaheim Ducks, and there have been multiple reports since last year that he has wanted out of Anaheim.
Recent reports have stated that the Boston Bruins and Jeremy Swayman are no where near getting a deal done, and many reports have suggested that the Boston Bruins may just trade Jeremy Swayman.
Heading into the season with a goalie tandem of Brandon Bussi, and Joonas Korpisalo would not be ideal for the Boston Bruins, but as of right now, that is the tandem they will be starting the season with.
