The Bruins organization has announced that Bruins forward Matt Poitras is recovering well from his shoulder surgery and expects to be in the lineup this coming season.
The Bruins are relying on him to come back to the lineup as soon as possible as the team continues to reshape its roster during the off season.
The 20-year-old center had a solid performance in his rookie year and gave the Bruins much promise as he played 33 games, scoring five goals with 10 assists for 15 points.
It's expected that he will have a bigger role with the Bruins in the coming season as the Bruins are looking to improve their center depth and they have done that with the signing of Elias lindholm earlier today.
Adding Poitras, would give the Bruins a good third line center as he continues to build his game and becoming a more prominent force.
