The Boston Bruins and Jeremy Swayman have hit an impasse according to NHL Insider Frank Seravalli.

The Daily Face Off personality, has made an announcement that while the two camps, have hit an impasse, the Bruins have made a qualifying offer to the #1 goalie in Boston.

But there's been no progress in talks between Swayman in Boston since then.
One item to watch: #NHLBruins did issue a qualifying offer today to Jeremy Swayman, of course.

But sounds like Bruins and Swayman haven't made much progress on a new deal. And they already went through full arbitration process to reach a deal last year via binding ruling.

With the departure of Linus Ullmark, this leaves Don Sweeney and the Bruins in a bind. Seravalli noted that Swayman is looking for a contract value of 8x $8 M and the Bruins have a value for the goalie, which they've not disclosed publicly.

, the #NHLBruins and Jeremy Swayman are not near a deal. Probably wants 8x$8mil+. Out of arbitration options. Swayman did not like arbitration even though Sweeney stated recently that Swayman to THEM to arbitration. What are we doing here? #GetBent

Swayman needs to be locked in at #1 as soon as possible, as running the B's with Joonas Korpisalo isn't starting goalie material in a tough, Atlantic Division.
