One of the NHL's most trusted insiders Elliotte Friedman just revealed that the Boston Bruins have placed a forward on waivers.
Friedman confirmed that the Boston Bruins have placed Riley Tufte on waivers, along with the Utah Hockey Club who have placed Kailer Yamamoto.
The Boston Bruins have been struggling to score goals, and even win games, as they currently have a 3-4-1 record to start off the season. Boston Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery has been trying multiple different line combinations to try and get the offence going, but nothing has worked.
The Bruins fourth line has been the highlight for the Boston Bruins so far, and Montgomery even broke that line up for their last game against the Dallas Stars to try and get the offence going.
There is some speculation that the Boston Bruins may be trying to clear some cap space to sign Tyler Johnson who is still with the Boston Bruins. If Tufte clears or gets claimed, it's possible that we see the Boston Bruins sign Tyler Johnson in the coming days.
Tufte has only appeared in two games with the Boston Bruins, in those games he has 0 points, 4 penalties, and is a -2.
