This weekend, the Boston Bruins are set to face off against a divisional rival, in the Ottawa Senators, and it's going to be a big game for both teams.
Both the Ottawa Senators and Boston Bruins are in a tight race for a playoff spot. The Bruins currently hold the second wild card spot in the Eastern Conference with 49 points, but the Senators are knocking right behind them with 48 points but have two games in hand on the Bruins.
If the Bruins lose to the Senators tomorrow they will officially be out of a playoff spot, and the season would not be looking good for them.
But the Bruins got some big news today at their morning skate, and are expected to get a key player back for their matchup against the Ottawa Senators.
Boston Bruins insider Joe Haggerty stated that going based off of today's practice, Mark Kastelic looks like he is ready to join the Boston Bruins lineup once again after being injured.
He also revealed some big news on Bruins defenseman Hampus Lindholm who has been out since November 12th, revealing that the defenseman skated today in a no-contact jersey.
Kastelic got injured last Thursday in a game against the Tampa Bay Lightning after he smashed his head off the ice following a fight against Lightning defenseman Emil Lilleberg.
Getting Kastelic back for this divisional rival game, and his former team would be a big boost to the Bruins lineup.
