Boston Bruins forward set to be offered a PTO by the Colorado Avalanche
GM Chris McFarland and the Colorado Avalanche haven't made any big moves during the off-season.
With only $2 Million dollars in cap space, it's unlikely they ever will, as the free-agent market has been picked clean.
However, the Avalanche do have a pick of one former Boston Bruins forward who could sign a PTO with the team.
Evan Rawal of Colorado Hockey Now has proposed a PTO for former Bruins forward, James Van Riemsdyk.
While James Van Riemsdyk is only 35 years old and in the latter part of his NHL career, he could prove to be a useful depth signing.
Two years ago, Riemsdyk had a 24-goal season with the Philadelphia Flyers, his seventh 20 goal season with the team in 2021-2022.
He could prove to be a useful addition to the Avalanche's fierce bottom-six and has a good motor, and nose for the net.
With the Bruins, Van Riemsdyk scored 38 points(11 G, 27 A) in 71 games and would be a great PTO signing.
