A Boston Bruins insider has revealed that Mark Kastelic's injury may be worse then it was originally reported.

Mark Kastelic was injured in the Bruins game against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday night after taking a cross-check from Emil Lilleberg to the face, and then later on he smashed his head off of the ice after fighting him.

BIG FIGHT IN THE FINAL SECONDS 🥊

Mark Kastelic goes after Emil Lilleberg and the two trade HEAVY shots

Since being injured, Kastelic has missed both of the Bruins practices, one on Friday as the team was preparing to take on the Florida Panthers, and another today as the Bruins are gearing up to take on the Lightning once again.

Joe Sacco labelled Kastelic as day-to-day following his injury against the Lightning, but fans are starting to think that it may be worse then it was originally reported from the Bruins.

After banging his head off the ice following the fight, Kastelic required assistance from Parker Wotherspoon to get to the Bruins bench.

Fans believe that he could be dealing with a concussion, and are curious why the Bruins will not come out and tell the truth on what is going on with him.

I don't understand why the team will not come out and admit what we all saw: Kastelic was concussed by a cross check to the chin.

Is it really worth it to hide the truth in case he is symptom-free in less than the league mandated seven day break after a concussion?

Bruins insider Scott McLaughlin revealed that the NHL does not require the Bruins to disclose whether he has a concussion or not, but believes that if he did suffer one it was from banging his head off the ice following the fight, and not from the original cross-check he took.

He also added that Kastelic was at Warrior Arena today, and was in good spirits.

The NHL doesn't require teams to disclose concussions like other leagues, so they don't. And fwiw, I think hitting his head on the ice did more damage than the crosscheck.

I'll also add that Kastelic was at Warrior today and seemed to be in pretty good spirits.
