Boston Bruins interim head coach Joe Sacco just issued a major statement regarding goaltender Jeremy Swayman's injury.
Recently, the Boston Bruins have not been able to catch a break when it comes to injuries this season.
Ahead of their game against the Ottawa Senators, Boston Bruins interim head coach Joe Sacco told reporters that goaltender Jeremy Swayman is dealing with a bit of an upper-body injury.
Sacco did confirm that Jeremy Swayman was not dealing with an injury prior to their loss to the New Jersey devils, and that it happened while the game was happening.
He also added that he is cautiously optimistic that Jeremy Swayman is going to be the starting goaltender for the Boston Bruins when they face off against the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday.
With Jeremy Swayman not being available for their game against the Ottawa Senators, Joonas Korpisalo got the start, and the Bruins recalled All-Star goaltender Michael DiPietro from the Providence Bruins to serve as backup.
The Bruins are still without Mark Kastelic, Cole Koepke, Charlie McAvoy and Hampus Lindholm, as they are all currently dealing with injuries as well.
