Filip Zadina, who played for the San Jose Sharks in 2023-2024 is an unrestricted free-agent. The former 6th overall pick is currently in the midst of a bidding war.

According to reports, Zadina had signed a PTO with the rebuilding Buffalo Sabres, until his agent Darren Ferris shot those rumors down.

Ferris told the media that he and the forward were working on a contract and three teams are in on the forward.

While he's a UFA now, the Bruins should consider adding FIlip Zadina before he's off the market.

Zadina played 72 games with the San Jose Sharks and scored 23 points( 13 G, 10 A) and could be an affordable option for the Bruins on the bottom-six.

The Bruins could have a chance to steal him away from the rival Montreal Canadiens, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Colorado Avalanche who are rumored to be in on him as well.

Note: the following is translated from Czech.

"Agent Darren Ferris told Lance Lysowski of the Buffalo News that Filip Zadina is nearing a PTO deal, but will instead sign with another team @BuffaloSabres. There was also speculation about @MapleLeafs, @Avalanche, @CanadiensMTL. Mainly because the ice was moving." Barta said in a post on X.

If Zadina were to sign in Boston, he could provide needed depth on the bottom six, as the Bruins lineup isn't set in stone just yet.

The former 6th-round pick found a fresh start in San Jose and could build upon last season under Jim Montgomery.

"I was telling my agent, if they will pass on me, I'm going to fill their nets with pucks," Zadina said in 2018 after being passed on by the Canadiens and Ottawa Senators.
