Brad Marchand has admitted to making a big change for the 2024-25 season, and it has been affecting him.

According to PuckPedia Brad Marchand is entering his last year of his eight-year, $49 million deal, and is set to be a UFA after this season.

Don Sweeney revealed just before the regular season begun that the Boston Bruins are in contract talks with 3 players including Brad Marchand.

Looking to make an impact in his contract year, Brad Marchand made a change during the off-season that has been affecting him. During the Bruins game yesterday against the Los Angeles Kings it was revealed that Brad Marchand made a change to his stick during the off-season, and he now uses a "longer stick" which has clearly been affecting his game.

Watching the captain play you can notice he is having a hard time receiving passes, and making plays with this new stick.

okay I FINALLY heard someone say it.
@BJaffe
confirms my suspicion, Marchand's new "longer stick" is taking longer to adjust to than he thought I'm my opinion. don't get me wrong, I love a long stick, but seems like he's having a tough time getting used to it with some of the plays he's making.

If the stick continues to trouble Brad Marchand hopefully he makes a change, and goes back to what has worked for him his whole career.

Last year in 82 games Brad Marchand had 29 goals, 38 assists for 67 points.

So far this year in three games Brad Marchand has 0 goals, 2 assists with a -2 +/- rating.

Do you think Brad Marchand should go back to using a smaller stick?
