Boston Bruins captain Brad Marchand laid a massive open ice hit on Montreal Canadiens forward Alex Newhook.

The Boston Bruins thought they took the lead early into the first period when Hampus Lindholm let a bomb go from the point.

Hampus! 1-0 Bruins!! Good puck movement and a one T from Lindholm.

Canadiens challenging for Goaltender Interference.

The Montreal Canadiens challenged the play a the goal got over turned retrurning the game back to 0-0.

Somehow...someway...the referees determine there was goaltender interference. I don't quite understand how or why, but they rule Brazeau interfered and we're back to 0-0 #NHLBruins

Going back to a 0-0 game, and going on the penalty kill, the captain, Brad Marchand was trying to give the Boston Bruins some momentum by laying a massive open ice hit on Montreal Canadiens forward Alex Newhook.

Ultimately after throwing the hit Brad Marchand was a bit loss on the penalty kill leading to Brandon Gallagher scoring the first official goal of the game for the Montreal Canadiens.

1-0 Habs. After the Bruins nearly score shorthanded, Habs come back and Gallagher tips in an Armia pass that went right through Carlo's legs.

The game is currently tied at 2-2 with 5 minutes remaining in the first period and the Boston Bruins are heading back onto the penalty kill.
