Tomorrow will mark the beginning of a two game road trip for the Boston Bruins as they head to St. Louis to take on the Blues.
The Bruins will be looking to bounce back after an embarrassing performance against the Ottawa Senators on Saturday, where the Bruins would go on to lose 3-2 in overtime after not putting a single shot on net in the third period.
Jim Montgomery has been making some surprising changes this entire year so far, completely throwing the lines in blenders, trying to find something that will work.
Today Montgomery made some more surprising changes as he announced that Matthew Poitras will be coming out of the lineup as a healthy scratch, and instead Morgan Geekie will be coming back into the lineup.
Morgan Geekie has been a healthy scratch a lot this season for the Bruins as he has only appeared in 11 out of 16 games for the Bruins this year. In 11 games Geekie has only registered two points, and is a -4 on the year as well.
The most surprising part about Morgan Geekie coming back into the lineup for the Boston Bruins is where he will be playing.
Montgomery has placed Morgan Geekie on the first line with Pavel Zacha and David Pastrnak.
He also made multiple other changes to the forward lines, take a look:
