Boston Bruins captain Brad Marchand is proving why he is a great leader for the Boston Bruins after sticking up for their super star in David Pastrnak, and dropping the gloves with Nate Schmidt.

The first period between the Boston Bruins has already gotten ugly with a dirty hit from behind on David Pastrnak, and Pavel Zacha stuck up for him by dropping the gloves with AJ Greer.

Not long after the first fight took place, another "fight" broke out after David Pastrnak interfered with Sam Reinhart, and Nate Schmidt went to go after David Pastrnak, when Brad Marchand jumped in and dropped the gloves with him.

It wasn't much of a fight, more of a wrestling match, but David Pastrnak was already cheap shotted earlier in the game, and Bruins captain Brad Marchand was not about to let that happen again.

After the whistle was blown, another brawl broke out where you saw everyone on the ice grab a partner and get into a shoving match.

Pastrnak is whistled for interference - Schmidt objects, and Brad Marchand jumps into the fray.

Bruins-Panthers going exactly as you'd expect.

David Pastrnak ended up picking up a penalty for interference, and Brad Marchand, and Nate Schmidt both got 2 minutes for roughing as well.

The Florida Panthers are doing what they do best, by getting into the head of the Boston Bruins. So far in just the first period alone there were 26 penalty minutes, with the Florida Panthers getting 4 power play opportunities, and ended up scoring on one.

At the end of the first the Florida Panthers currently lead the Boston Bruins 2-1.
