Oddsmakers are underestimating Hampus Lindholm's chances to win the 2024 Norris Trophy, despite his strong showing in the previous season. Lindholm, a Boston Bruins defenseman, received just 100-1 odds, even though he garnered 12 first-place votes and finished fourth in the 2023 Norris Trophy voting. His teammate, Charlie McAvoy, isn't viewed much more favorably with 16/1 odds.

The top contenders for the 2024 Norris Trophy include Cale Makar, the 2022 winner, at 5-2 odds, Adam Fox, the 2021 recipient, at 7-1, and Rasmus Dahlin at 8-1.

Lindholm had an exceptional season, contributing ten goals and 43 assists in 80 games, while McAvoy rebounded from early-season setbacks to finish strongly.

The last Bruins defenseman to win the Norris Trophy was Zdeno Chara in 2009.
