The Bruins Are Favouring This Announcer Over Edwards
When it comes to Boston Bruins announcer Jack Edwards, opinions are as diverse as the NHL itself.
He's a polarizing figure across the league, but within the Boston Bruins fan base, he's often cherished.
However, recent developments suggest that Edwards' time in the broadcast booth might be in jeopardy.
The speculation began with a report from ESPN's Shukri Wrights, who revealed that the Boston Bruins have taken a liking to broadcaster Alex Faust, currently filling in for Edwards. While many assumed Faust's role was temporary, it seems that might not be the case.
According to Jimmy Murphy of Boston Hockey Now, Faust's position could become more permanent:
"He may become much more than a fill-in, from what I am told."
Edwards has courted controversy in the past, including incidents from the previous season, raising questions about his future. Whether it's his colorful commentary or other factors, the Bruins' broadcast booth may be in for a change, although no official announcement has been made yet.
