Boston Bruins head coach Joe Sacco just issued a massive statement on Fabian Lysell and it's good news.

After their morning skate this morning, Boston Bruins head coach met with the media and issued a massive statement regarding Fabian Lysell and it's huge.

After making his debut with the Boston Bruins and playing in his first NHL game, Fabian Lysell was sent back down to the Providence Bruins in the American Hockey League.

Many believed that it was just a paper transaction for cap space reasons as the Bruins are pretty tight on cap space, but today it was confirmed it was a real transaction as he was present at practice with the Providence Bruins.

No Lysell so there goes my theory of a paper transaction.

Today Joe Sacco revealed whether or not Fabian Lysell is going to see more time in the NHL with the Boston Bruins.

Sacco confirmed that Lysell did not hurt his chances to see more action in the NHL with the Boston Bruins, but this move was made strictly due to their next matchup.

The Bruins are preparing to face one of the better teams in the NHL as they are set to play the Washington Capitals Tuesday night and Joe Sacco wants to go with a different lineup for that game, hence why Lysell was reassigned to the Providence Bruins.

Sacco said Lysell «didn't hurt his chances» to get another opportunity at some point. Cited the matchup vs. Washington as a reason they're going with a different lineup.

Lysell was impressive during his NHL debut and Joe Sacco confirmed that there will be plenty of more opportunities for the young forward.
