As the trade deadline approached, Don Sweeney, the Bruins' General Manager, pulled off a significant move, acquiring defenseman Andrew Peeke from the Blue Jackets.

In return, the Bruins sent over a 3rd round pick and Jakub Zboril.

Peeke couldn't contain his excitement about joining the Bruins. Going from a struggling team like the Blue Jackets to a Stanley Cup contender was a thrilling change for him.

"I'm pumped. Especially coming into an organization like this. I've only heard good things all the way to the top. That's what's most exciting for me," Peeke expressed eagerly.

The 6'3 defenseman opened up about the challenges he faced this season with the Blue Jackets. Despite the tough times, Peeke believes it was all worth it in the end.

"There were some tough days. A lot of adversity. Being where I am now you can only look back at it and make a positive out of it, helping you grow as a person and a hockey player," Peeke reflected.

Now, as Peeke joins the Bruins, he brings with him 8 points in 23 games this season, along with a -2 +/- rating. While his stats tell part of the story, Peeke's enthusiasm for this new opportunity shines through, showing he's ready to embrace this exciting chapter in his career with the Bruins.
