Charlie Coyle Calls Out The Boston Bruins Following Embarrassing Loss
Boston Bruins forward Charlie Coyle did not hold back after the Bruins embarrassing loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets and called out the team.
The Boston Bruins were heading into their game vs the Columbus Blue Jackets at Nationwide Arena looking to keep building momentum off of their 4-1 dominate win over the Washington Capitals but that didn't happen.
Instead the Bruins returned from their three day holiday break and played an embarrassing 60 minutes of hockey.
The Bruins were looking for some revenge on the Blue Jackets who previously beat them 5-1 earlier in November, which would ultimately lead to the Boston Bruins firing Jim Montgomery and hiring Joe Sacco as the interim head coach.
The Blue Jackets controlled most of the game, and would end up beating the Boston Bruins 6-2.
Following the game, Charlie Coyle called out the Bruins team for their effort against the Blue Jackets stating the Bruins got outworked and it was an embarrassing effort for everyone. He also added that the team left Korpisalo out to dry.
He added "We left Korpi out to dry"
Charlie Coyle has been solid for the Bruins over his past couple of games ever since being promoted to the top line with Marchand, and Lindholm. The forward has three goals in three straight games.
This line has been carrying the Bruins recently, but it's not good enough, the Bruins need more out of their other lines, and defense.
Now the Bruins are looking to flip the page as they face the Columbus Blue Jackets once again, this time at TD Garden.
Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. at TD Garden for their second half of the home-and-home against the Blue Jackets.
