It's looking like the Boston Bruins are going to lose Jake DeBrusk for nothing, Don Sweeney could've gotten something decent for the forward in a trade, but it's looking like DeBrusk will walk from the Boston Bruins for free.
Sweeney mentioned that they took an aggressive approach with the forward, and there have been a lot of rumours that DeBrusk will more than likely walk in free agency.
Free agency is set to begin July 1st, with that being said there are reports of where DeBrusk could land if he decides to walk from the Boston Bruins.
Nashville Predators - Nashville has over $26 million in cap space to work with this summer and made it clear they are looking to find top-six forwards that can help them out offensively.
Vancouver Canucks - The Canucks are more than likely parting ways with Elias Lindholm, as he reportedly turned down a 7x7 from the team, they will be looking to find someone to replace him and even though DeBrusk isn't a center man they are very similar players.
Detroit Red Wings - Reports have revealed that David Perron is likely to walk from the Wings in free agency, and the Red Wings will be in the market for a top-six forward making Jake DeBrusk a perfect target for them.
Although the Bruins could still work out a deal with Jake DeBrusk it doesn't look like one will happen. We will have to wait and see what happens come July 1st.
