18 year old Russian hockey player tragically passed away
The hockey community was hit with some tragic news Tuesday following the death of an 18 year old prospect from Russia.
According to reports Roman Zyryanov jumped in front of a train and sadly committed suicide in his home town in Russia.
Fans were shocked when the details were released due to just how young he is. What a sad and terrible way to go.
Roman Zyryanov, an 18-year old hockey player in Russia, has sadly committed s*icide after jumping in front of a train.
Zyryanov had one goal, four points through two games played in his last season with Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod U18 in 2022-23.
In Zyryanov's last season with the Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod he put up one goal, 3 assists in two games in 2022-23. During the 2020-21 season he had six goals and seven assists for 13 points in 34 games.
This news is heartbreaking and goes to show that even young hockey players go through tough times, and need to open up about their mental health issues to try and avoid this type of situation.
