Just moments before Team Canada faces off against Team USA, the entire team was hit with some horrible news as Elliotte Friedman revealed that Cale Makar will not play tonight.
Multiple sources confirmed that Makar is going to miss the game and Thomas Harley will draw in.

This is a massive loss for Team Canada, as Makar is easily their best defenseman at this tournament.
Team Canada is is already down one defenseman as head coach Jon Cooper revealed that Shea Theodore suffered an injury in the first period of their game against Team Sweden, missed the rest of the game, and then it was announced that he would be out for the remainder of the tournament.
It will be interesting to see who takes Cale Makar's spot on the first power play unit for Team Canada with him being out.
