The Boston Bruins would lose 3-2 in overtime to the Ottawa Senators, on November 9th, 2024.

The game would see the Bruins put up a fight, but unable to finish the job, as Brady Tkachuk would score his 8th goal of the season against Jeremy Swayman.

The Senator's return to TD Garden saw Linus Ullmark get emotional coming "home". Home, which he would have fond memories of.

But even then there are some cons, to his time in Boston.

,q>«I wouldn't say we accomplished anything,» Ullmark said after the Senators' 3-2 overtime win over the Bruins on Saturday night. «We didn't win, and that's always gonna bother me. I really thought we had opportunities to do it. So, I'm gonna bring with me those feelings, thoughts (and) emotions into this locker room and strive to become better and learn from my mistakes.»

This is a backhanded compliment from a goalie who was unable to deliver a championship run with the Bruins himself.

While in Ottawa he continues to think highly of himself and has suffered the same issues as Joonas Korpisalo. His statistics aren't telling the whole story, but the Senators aren't good enough to win a cup anytime soon.

Sorry Steve Staios, not sorry.

«In my mind, I see myself as a lot better goaltender, to be quite frank,» he said. «Something that I've learned throughout the ways with the type of leadership we have throughout this organization is how to handle yourself as a professional, but also as a human being. So, I carry that with me.»

In 8 games played, he's only won 3 games, while having a 2.87 GAA, and a .890 save percentage.

The shade is real, but who's laughing now?

The Senators are 6th in the Atlantic Division even after their defeat of the Bruins on Saturday. They have a 7-7-0 record,

They have weaknesses despite the bloviating from the GM, and propaganda put out recently.

This is once again another Eugene Melnick era, the only thing now is Michael Andlauer is running things.

This isn't the 2017 Ottawa Senators, they're just pretenders.
