Ex-Bruin Reveals How He Truly Feels About Boston
In a recent in-game interview during the 1st intermission between the Anaheim Ducks and the Boston Bruins, Ducks defenseman Urho Vaakanainen provided some candid thoughts about his former team, the Bruins.
Vaakanainen described the Bruins as "slippery" and praised their style of play, emphasizing their focus on simple hockey, getting the puck behind the defense, and their unwavering work ethic.
"They are slippery. They play simple hockey, put the puck behind the D you know, and they work, work their ***** off so you just got to be hard."
While Vaakanainen appeared to regret his choice of words immediately after, his remarks added a touch of humor to the game. It's not uncommon for professional athletes to say unexpected things live on air, and the incident was taken in stride, thanks to the built-in delay of live television.
The Ducks currently find themselves in the 7th spot in the Pacific Division with a 1-3 record as they aim to improve their competitiveness. Notably, their -2 goal differential ranks fourth best in the division, offering a potential foundation to build upon.
