It was announced earlier that the Boston Bruins could break up their goaltending pair of Linus Ullmark and Jeremy Swayman as a possible trade may be in the works with the Ottawa Senators.

Swayman made a bold statement during the playoffs after head coach Jim Montgomery abandoned his tandem approach and decided to hand the net over to Swayman. He produced great numbers as he played twelve playoff games and had a goal against of 2.15 and a save percentage of .933. Unfortunately, the Bruins failed to score enough goals to help push them past the Florida Panthers in the second round.
The Bruins are facing a dilemma as Swayman will be looking for a hefty pay raise and term as his contract will come to an end shortly. If the Bruins give him the number, he's looking for which will be between 7 and $8 million a year, it all but guarantees all mark will be traded possibly at the draft or after July 1st.
Ullmark carries a cap hit $5,000,000 going into next season and it will be his final
year of his deal. The Ottawa Senators have had trouble with their goaltending even though Joonas Korpisalo was their answer.
Dealing Ullmark to the Senators could likely bring a return of Ottawa Senators defenseman Jakub Chychrun along with a first-round pick. Though it remains to be seen on what the return may be, it's likely that Ottawa Senators general manager Steve Staios will be making several calls to Sweeney to see what it would take to get Ullmark out of Boston.
