With Chandler Stephenson being a former Stanley Cup champion, and one of the top free agents in 2024, he will be a sought-after forward.

With the Vegas Golden Knights continuously being against the cap, Stephenson could be a cap casualty, as he is due a raise.

According to David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period, six teams could be a part of the bidding war for the forward.

One team of which is the Boston Bruins who will be competing with the Toronto Maple Leafs, Nashville Predators, Vancouver Canucks, and Carolina Hurricanes in the upcoming free-agency for Stephenson's services.

These clubs recognize Stephenson's skills as a two-way forward, with solid offensive and defensive skills. A trait that is treasured for these clubs, as he could be utilized in all situations.

Should the financials work out for the Golden Knights and Stephenson they will do their best to re-sign him. But nothing is certain, as he will be a difficult replacement as a key forward for the club.

The 30-year-old forward appeared in 75 games with the Golden Knights this season, scoring 51 points( 16 G, 35 A), and has had two back-to-back 60-point seasons in 2021-2022 and 2022-2023.
