The Boston Bruins and Jeremy Swayman have ended up in a stalemate after months of contract negotiations.

The 3rd episode of Amazon Prime's docu-series about the NHL hasn't helped the matter with Swayman, as his words have set owner Jeremy Jacobs off.

«When you go into that room, you don't say a word,» Swayman said. «My arbitrator started first, he said all of these great things. The arbitrator on their side, their job is to help the management side and to rip players, and hearing that you're not worthy of what you think you're worthy of, that was hard to hear.

«You don't forget what was said. I wrote em down and I looked at em the other day and I had a couple of checkmarks. My biggest knock was how I wasn't trustworthy in the playoffs. Check.»

He took that personally, and it seems has taken it into the contract negotiations as he and his agent Lewis Gross are playing hardball, or is it Cam Neely and Don Sweeney who are?

With plenty of drama in the news, it seems that Swayman's time in the Bruins organization could be running out.

As the future remains uncertain, a quote from the Prime series especially sticks out:

«I mean, I don't want it to end,» Swayman said on the show, per ESPN. «[This] could be the last time I wear a Bruins jersey. I know I'm going to do everything in my power to be a Bruin for a long time. As a kid growing up in Alaska, this was in my wildest [expletive] dreams.

«I never want it to end. I'm just so grateful that the sun's going to rise tomorrow and there's another opportunity to get better.»

That was what he echoed after the Bruins lost in the 2nd round of the playoffs against the Florida Panthers.

Was he already bracing for what could happen with the Bruins soon?

Could the Bruins "starting goalie" end up being shipped elsewhere for parts?

Many teams in the NHL could use a goalie with a record of 25-10-8, with a 2.53 GAA, and a .916 save percentage.

But I guess the Bruins aren't bothered, as they have signed Jiri Patera this week, which shows their faith in goalie coach Bob Essensa.

Because he's not going to the P-Bruins to play with Brandon Bussi and Reid Dyck.

Is the nuclear option on the table now?
