Former Boston Bruins fan favorite Taylor Hall will be a pending UFA at the end of the season. The former Hart Trophy winner could be on multiple team's trade radar, as the March deadline approaches.

Hall played for the Boston Bruins for two and a half seasons before he was shipped to the Chicago Blackhawks with Nick Foligno, after the 2023 season.

The only issue a team like the Blackhawks would encounter is salary issues, so it'd be useful for the Blackhawks to retain a percentage of his $6 Million cap hit.

This season Hall has been healthy, as last year he was taken out with a season-ending knee injury which required surgery in November.

He wouldn't start skating until the postseason and has started to find a scoring touch in Chicago. He's only scored 14 points( 7 G, 7 A) in 30 games, but could prove to be useful as a depth option for a contending team.

Should the Bruins Ask About Hall's Availability?

The Bruins are a familiar team to Hall and could utilize the goal-scoring forward.

Teams needing more experience and secondary scoring in their middle six should be in the mix for Hall's services. If the Bruins are in a post-season spot nearing the deadline, perhaps they could even inquire about him.

His time as a Bruin was successful, as his tenure saw him score 111 points(44 G, 67 A) in 158 games.

GM Don Sweeney would later trade him and Nick Foligno to the Chicago Blackhawks for Ian Mitchell, and Alec Regula.

Regula, is now a defenseman in the Edmonton Oilers system, while Ian Mitchell currently plays with the Providence Bruins.

GM Kyle Davidson would have to eat some salary to make the move palatable for Don Sweeney and the Bruins as they currently have $550K in deadline cap space once March rolls around.

So the Bruins would also have to find a way to make room for Hall, they could bring in a 3rd team to make the process flow easy.

However, Hall has stated he'd like to stay in Chicago and see the rebuild through.

«I'd love to stay and be part of this. I've moved around quite a bit, maybe more than I would've liked or planned at the start of my career."

No telling if that is how it plays out in the long run though.
