The Bruins hosted the Montreal Canadiens Sunday night at TD Garden and celebrated their 100th anniversary, and it was nothing short of a typical Boston-Montreal rivalry game.
The Boston Bruins and Montreal Canadiens have one of the most historic rivalries in any sport, and is considered one of the best. The two teams have faced off against each other which is the most between two opponents in NHL history.
The Bruins came out flying in the first period scoring three goals in just 70 seconds, Montreal tried to push back but the Bruins wouldn't allow them to ruin their celebration and ended up beating them 6-3.
This game had a high intensity to it with big hits being thrown, multiple scrums, and even Jeremy Swayman threw a hit on Montreal Canadiens captain Nick Suzuki.
Take a look:
There may be some bad blood brewing between Swayman and Suzuki as this is not the first time this has happened. In October when the two teams met, Jeremy Swayman also had a hit on Suzuki during a 6-4 win.
lately Jeremy Swayman has been a lot better for the Boston Bruins and has improved to 7-9-2 with a 3.09 goals against average and a .893 save percentage which is a lot better then what his numbers have been.
Jeremy Swayman finding his game could change the whole season for the Bruins who have had multiple talks about changing up their roster if they don't start competing.
