Jim Montgomery Calls Out Brad Marchand In Recent Interview
Jim Montgomery criticizes Brad Marchand in a recent interview.
Marchand, who has accumulated seven penalties this season, received his latest penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct during a confrontation with referee Chris Lee.
This incident occurred 4:48 into the third period, with Marchand expressing frustration over what he believed was a missed hooking call.
While unable to confirm Marchand's exact words, it appeared to onlookers that he told Lee to "Do your bleeping job!"
Jim Montgomery, the head coach of the Boston Bruins, expressed disappointment and frustration with his captain's loss of composure.
Montgomery emphasized the inexcusability of taking such penalties, especially considering the team was trailing the Montreal Canadiens 2-1 in the final period of a 3-2 loss. In Montgomery's words to reporters after the game,
«Can't take those penalties. It's inexcusable,» Montgomery told reporters after the game. «Refs ref games. Players play games.»
