During Game 6, Boston Bruins' coach Jim Montgomery surprised everyone by giving Brad Marchand control of the bench midway through the second period.

Montgomery explained,

"He went up and down the bench."
It was a bold move to ignite some energy in the team.

Montgomery handed the bench to Marchand midway thru P2. Monty: "He went up and down the bench."
Some spark, but not enough.

While Marchand's presence did bring some spark, it wasn't enough to secure a win. Unfortunately, the Bruins failed to capitalize on the opportunity to eliminate the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Now, they'll have to give it their all in Game 7 on Saturday to try and clinch the series victory.
