Boston Bruins head coach Joe Sacco Issued a major announcement regarding Oliver Wahlstrom ahead of their game against the Edmonton Oilers.

Following the Boston Bruins practice this morning at Rogers Place, head coach Joe Sacco issued a major statement regarding Boston Bruins newest forward Oliver Wahlstrom.

The Boston Bruins claimed Oliver Wahlstrom off of waivers on December 14th from the New York Rangers, and according to Joe Sacco he will make his debut tonight against the Edmonton Oilers.

Joe Sacco stated to the media following practice that Oliver Wahlstrom will make his debut against the Oilers tonight and will play on a line with Charlie Coyle and Trent Frederic.

From Joe Sacco:

Joe Sacco on lineup changes tonight's for the #NHLBruins game vs. the Oilers: "Wahlstrom will be in and Koepke will be out...Wahlstrom will go up with Frederic and Coyle and Kastelic will go back down with Beecher and McLaughlin."

There was speculation that Oliver Wahlstrom was going to make his debut with the Boston Bruins on Tuesday against the Calgary Flames, but Joe Sacco liked the group and how they played against the Vancouver Canucks, and wanted to keep the same lineup together.

It's unsure if going forward Oliver Wahlstrom will get a look on a different line but for now he will be playing on the third line with some good company in Trent Frederic and Charlie Coyle.

So far this year Oliver Wahlstrom has appeared in 27 games with the New York Islanders, and has registered two goals, along with two assists for four points.
