Key member of the Boston Bruins will officially test the 2024 free agent market
It has been reported that Boston Bruins defensemen Derek Forbort will officially test the 2024 free agent market this off-season.
David Pagnotta reported that there has been changes in discussions with the Boston Bruins and Forbort and all signs point to him moving on from the Boston Bruins.
Barring a sudden change in discussions, all signs point to defenceman Derek Forbort also testing the free agent waters July 1 and moving on from the Boston Bruins.
Forbort missed quite sometime this year, and Don Sweeney announced at the trade deadline that he would be out for the remainder of the year with a couple injuries.
Ultimately Forbort would play a couple games for the Boston Bruins during the playoffs, but sat out most of them even when he was considered healthy to play.
Forbort played 3 games for the Bruins in the playoffs with 0 points, and played 35 games for them in the regular season with 4 assists.
The Bruins ultiamtely want to get faster in the off-season and parting ways with Forbort might be the best thing the Bruins can do.
