A recent announcement was made involving a former Boston Bruins forward that is life-altering for him.

A.J. Greer spent one year with the Boston Bruins during the 2022-23 season. Following that season Greer was placed on waivers where he was claimed by the Calgary Flames.

In 61 games with the Boston Bruins in the 2022-23 season Greer had 5 goals, 7 assists, 12 points, but he wasn't really known for his offensive abilities.

Greer was more of a gritty type of player, putting up 114 penalty minutes in 61 games for the Bruins.

After the Calgary Flames were eliminated from the playoffs and the season ended, A.J. Greer went back to Boston University to get his degree.

Back on the bench at @AgganisArena, this time for a degree.

Congrats, @ajgreer_10!

Congrats to A.J. Greer for completing this goal!
