There has been a lot of controversy surrounding the Boston Bruins re-signing UFA Danton Heinen.

Danton Heinen was signed to a PTO this year before getting a contract with the Boston Bruins and signed for league minimum on a one-year deal.
There is no question that Heinen was helpful for the Bruins as he is solid in the defensive end and also did a solid job at producing for the Bruins offensively.
Heinen ended up playing in 74 games for the Boston Bruins putting up 17 goals and 36 points. The controversy surrounding him is regarding his next contract, Bruins fans feel like Don Sweeney might overpay him.
There have been some rumours that he may be looking for over $3 million a season and Bruins fans feel like he isn't worth that.
Some of these numbers being tossed out there for Heinen are wild. He scored 18 goals for PIT two seasons ago and signed 1x1 to stay. Last year he couldn't even find a job until the fall. Why would he get multi years, for much more than that, as he nears 30?? Tread lightly, Don.

Danton Heinen is coming up to 30 and has never really been known for his offensive abilities, his career high in points was 47 back in 2017-18 during his first full year with the Boston Bruins.
Do you think giving Heinen a two-year $2 million deal is the right move for the Bruins?
