The Bruins having abundance of goaltending as Jeremy Swayman has taken a major step forward in his career and has cemented himself as the true #1 goaltender.

He is pegged to have a huge payday and they long term contract with the Bruins which means Ullmark is now available. The Bruins also have several prospects in Providence that are ready to make the next step to the NHL in goal including Brandon Bussi.

But to trade an asset like Ullmark requires a major return as he has a contract into next year worth $5 million. General manager Don Sweeney and his management team are insisting that Tkachuk be in the package to be returned to the Bruins as the team continues to look for offensive help after the retirement of Bruins superstar Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci.

The 24-year-old Tkachuk, played 81 games this year and scored 37 goals with 37 assists for 74 points and was a plus 1. He is currently in the middle of his seven-year contract that is worth $57 million. He holds a cap hit of 8.25 million per season which is excellent for a player of his calibre.

It remains to be seen on whether the Bruins and the Senators can come to a deal. However, acquiring a talent like Tkachuk would change the look of the Bruins for good and give them scoring punch they need.
