Boston has found success switching between goaltenders all season long but Montgomery revealed he'll be changing his game plan for one specific reason tonight.

Ullmark Going Back-to-Back

Head coach Jim Montgomery confirmed earlier today that Linus Ullmark will be starting his second consecutive game, as the Bruins host the Columbus Blue Jackets on Thursday night.

As Montgomery noted, there's one crucial factor for going back with the Ullmark, and that's because it's time to gear up for the playoffs:

''Yeah, that's exactly it. We figured this little run here, get him three games in six days, that's gonna replicate a little bit of playoffs and it's also gonna allow Swayman to get some games on the back end of that.''

It's been 19 games since Boston hasn't switched between he and Jeremy Swayman, as Ullmark was the first to start consecutive games on February 18th and 20th.

It's no surprise that Ullmark is the go to guy for the Bruins, as he's currently the Vezina frontrunner with 36 wins, a 1.90 GAA and a .937 SV%.
