There has been consistent rumours surrounding the Boston Bruins and who GM Don Sweeney will move and who he will try and keep.

Facing the facts, the Bruins roster will look extremely different next season, which is expected when the Bruins have less than $5 million in salary cap space and just 16 NHL players under contract for next season. Meaning they will have to find some cheap free agents or making trades in order to dump cap.
With that in my mind the Bruins should move on from possibly acquiring PLD.

Why Should PLD Be Off The Bruins Radar?

The 24-year-old is not the answer for the Boston Bruins and doesn't fit with the team currently. Expect the Bruins to still make roster changes but investing in the young center is way too high risk at this point for the Bruins franchise.
Simply put the Bruins can shop elsewhere, maybe even within the Jets organization. With the likes of Connor Hellebuyck and Mark Scheifele being on the Bruins radar.
«We have to address the two RFAs in Trent Frederic and Jeremy Swayman, which we will do. And roster changes are likely coming. You know, we're not going to be the same team, but our mandate internally, collectively as a group, is we have a really strong core of guys that hopefully as Jim [Montgomery] was talking about, will continue to grow, will take leadership responsibility moving forward regardless of whether or not Patrice and David walk back through the door because they need to.»
Don Sweeney addressed in the Bruins end-of-the-season press conference.
